UPDATE: Out of concern for the health and safety of our audience, artists, and the entire CMC community, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Chamber Music Chicago concert scheduled for April 5. Given the increasingly problematic coronavirus situation and the resultant closure of the Holtschneider Performance Center, we have come to this unfortunate, but inevitable conclusion.
The final concert of CMC's inaugural season offers Mozart's “Kegelstatt” trio for clarinet, viola & piano, Paul Schoenfield’s klezmer-inspired trio for clarinet, violin, & piano, and Beethoven's monumental "Storm" String Quintet in C Major. Guest artists include violinist of the Orion String Quartet, Daniel Phillips, former violist of the Pacifica String Quartet, Masumi Rostad, violist of the Aizuri String Quartet, Ayane Kozasa, Chicago Symphony Orchestra cellist, Kenneth Olsen, Chicago Symphony Orchestra principal clarinetist, Stephen Williamson, and Tchaikovsky Piano Competition medaling pianist, William Wolfram.
